In LivePlan, each forecast item can be modified as needed. This means you can easily update any of the data, delete entries that are no longer relevant, or make a copy of an existing entry to use as a template for new projections.
Editing a forecast entry
If you want to edit an item you have already entered in the forecast (for example, a revenue stream, expense, asset, etc.), first navigate to the desired page of the Forecast section.
Look for the table of your entries near the bottom of the page, then click on the green title of the item you'd like to update:
Clicking any green title will open the editing options for that item.
For most entries, you'll have multiple steps to navigate through to access the original numbers. Use the Next and Back buttons to navigate between them or click on the section names, as shown below:
You can edit any part of your entry. Click Save & Exit when you're done. To discard changes, click on the X in the upper-right corner of the editor window or select Discard Changes from the More Actions dropdown menu:
Click Discard to return to the Forecast or Cancel to continue editing the entry:
Note: In certain tables, such as the Personnel table, you may need to click the triangle icons to expand the lines so you can access the editable entries, as shown below:
Deleting a forecast entry
To delete a forecast item you've already entered, click on the three dots that appear when you mouse over a forecast entry:
Select Delete from the drop-down menu:
Click Delete to confirm or Cancel to go back without deleting the forecast item:
You can make a copy of any forecast item that you've already created. LivePlan will take all settings and figures entered in the original item and apply them to the new forecast item.
Note: Forecast items can only be copied from the same category as the original. For example, copies of a revenue item will always be copied to the revenue section of the forecast.
To copy an item in the forecast
- Click on the Forecast section and choose one of the forecast categories:
- Mouse over the forecast item that you wish to copy and click on the three dots :
- Select Duplicate:
- In the dialog that appears, give the copy a new name and click Make a Copy:
When you’re finished, click Make a Copy. The copy will appear as an item in your currently selected forecast category.
Note: Copied forecast items will retain all settings and forecast figures of the original.
